Going on an outdoor adventure is good, but going with the right accessories is even better. The right gear can help you be safer, travel smarter, and have a better time while you are hiking, camping, or backpacking. There is a lot of gear that’s a waste of time and money, though, so it’s important to find the stuff that’s really worth adding to your gear list. We want to help you find gear that becomes an essential part of your time outdoors. So what are you packing for the next adventure? Here are three of our favorite things to bring with you on the next trip that can make your trip better than ever:
Drink enhancers are a great addition to your hiking gear. They not only make your water taste better, they can help provide you with more energy and stamina to make it further out on the trail. Use a water enhancer with an Infuze system to keep your camelbak clean. You’ll be able to switch between drink enhancer and plain water, too, so you have both when you need them. Drink enhancers can make your time out on the trail more fun when you can drink something other than boring, plain water. Once you start using them on the trail, you won’t want to go without ever again.
Don’t underestimate the importance of good walking poles. Poles can help increase your speed, increase your traction and help reduce the impact on your body. They are also great for pushing bushes and other obstacles out of the way to help you get where you need to go. Trekking poles are even great for holding some of your pack weight. You can sling a bag or small pack on the handles so you take some of the load off of your back. Look for poles that have comfortable grips and are the right height for you.
You might do most of your hiking and backpacking in the daylight, but that doesn’t mean you can’t benefit from good lighting options. A headlamp keeps your hands free and allows you to point light right where you need to look. Even during the daytime, you’ll find opportunities to use your light when you are shining it into dark areas like caves and overgrown trails so you can see what’s waiting for your ahead (and maybe even find some new trails). If you stay out too late on the trail, they provide you with a means of safely guiding yourself where you need to go as well as a means of signalling help if you need it.
So what are you taking on your next adventure? We’d love to hear what items are on your must-have list when you are packing for an adventure. You can pre-order Infuze on our website and we’ll send it over to you as soon as they are ready to ship. You’ll have one of the three items on our must-have list and well on your way to the next great adventure!
